Chennai based Hosokawa Micron India Pvt Ltd is offering ALPINE Multi-Processing System for Pharma R&D and Pilot Batches under its Alpine Pharma Division.

Alpine Pharma Division offers unique Multi-Processing System with 5 in 1 options.  The state-of-the-art 5 in 1 MPS features

Basic 100 AFG Fluidized Bed Opposed Jet Mill with integrated dynamic classifier. Used for milling heat sensitive, sticky materials with mohs hardness upto 10. Fineness achieved 2 microns to 40 microns. Single pass.

50 ATP – It is the TURBOPLEX Classifier already fitted in the 100 AFG.  By a simple Adapter Kit, the mill can be converted to a 50 ATP Classifier alone, enabling separation of different fractions from the given powder.

50 ZPS – A Special Kit of the 50 ZPS Impact Mill can be attached to the Basic M/c after removing the Milling Section of the 100 AFG. This conversion results in converting the system to a Classifier Mill.

A Spiral Jet Mill Kit 100 AS can be attached to the system after removing the Milling Section of the Basic AFG Mill, thereby converting the system to a Spiral Jet Microniser.

There is also an Optional Kit of a Fine Impact Mill UPZ which can be attached to the basic machines converting it to a Universal Mechanical Impact Mill.

With the above five options, an R&D/Pilot Plant using the MPS will be able to handle every different Pharmaceutical/ Chemical raw material, which lend themselves to Mechanical or Air Jet Milling. All the five options in the MPS can be scaled up from a few grams of production to even 200 Kg/Hr by selecting the suitable bigger Alpine Mill. Leading Indian companies are already using this systems.

Powder Characteristics Tester PT-X
Powder Tester PT-X employs the methods developed by Ralph L. Carr (Carr Indices) to determine the “Flowability & Floodability” of dry powders. The model PT-X is the latest design of the Hosokawa Micron Powder Characteristics Tester which utilizes state of the art features to identify the specific characteristics of powdered samples for a wide range of application fields.

Features
Automated Vibration with electronically controlled vib-sensor for repeatable results.

Optional Integrated HEPA filter dust protection.

Test Sieve Identification - measure by recording test sieve serial number.

  • Complete Powder Characterization in one instrument
  • Reduced Operator intervention insuring analysis Accuracy and Repeatability
  • User friendly Software, reduces analysis time
  • Complies with: FDA Tapped Bulk Density (USP)ASTM, Kawakita’s equation for Compressibility
  • Special Designed Feeder for reliable sample feeding
  • Multi-language functionality
  • Compact Design - 34% smaller in comparison to prior models
Since 1968, when the original Powder Tester was developed, more than 3,500 units have been delivered to companies worldwide. The testing standards used by the Powder Tester has made it an ideal choice for the development of more than 3,000 patents; 1,800 within the last 10 years. The latest completely updated model PT-X has been equipped with features suggested by many global users of earlier models, making the PT-X the most technologically advanced instrument to measure Powder Flow characteristics.
